Ghost - The Musical

*****

This smash hit musical has been adapted by Oscar winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin with music by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard and is directed by Bob Thompson.

Sam and Molly are deeply in love but their happiness is brought to a cruel end when Sam is murdered one night when they are on the way back to their apartment leaving Molly utterly devastated.

Sam’s “friend” Carl is quickly on the scene to comfort Molly , or so it seems!

Prior to this we find out that Carl has had access to one of Sam’s bank accounts which contains 10 million dollars. We later find out that Carl has hired Willie Lopez not to kill Sam but to steal his wallet.

As the story unfolds Sam realises that Molly’s life is in danger and by chance comes across Oda Mae Brown who is a fake psychic. Until Sam appears on the scene she doesn’t realise she actually does have “the gift”.

In spite of the tragic nature of the situation there are moments of superb comedy when Sam persuades Oda Mae Brown to help him.

Many of us will remember the stunning performances of Patrick Swaze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg and Tony Goldwyn in the original film, but the cast of this dazzling performance will not disappoint!

Stunning dance sequences and songs, sound and lighting effects effectively evoke the world of the supernatural.

Rebekah Lowing gives a superb and powerful performance as she reprises her role as Molly, stirring the audience with her heartfelt singing.

Josh St Clair stars as Sam wheat in another stunningly powerful performance. The love story between these two will have audiences reaching for tissues.

Jacqui Dubois treats us to a powerful and raucously funny performance as the larger than life figure of Oda Mae Brown while James Mateo -Salt effectively plays the snidey evil character of Carl Bruner.

Legendry entertainer Les Dennis plays the contrasting roles of hospital ghost and Lionel Ferguson.

Jules Brown reprises the role of Willie Lopez. Garry Lee plays subway ghost, Tanisha Butterfield plays Clara, Keiahna Jackson Jones plays Louise.

Molly Cleere plays Mrs Santiago/ bank officer, Gabrielle Cummins is officer Wallace, Olivia Rose- Deer is Susan/Ortisha, Wade Lewin is Orlando, James Pritchard is Detective Biederman with Joe Readman in the ensemble.

Don’t miss this truly stunning and powerful show performed by this highly talented team. To 30-11-24.
